Suddenly can't connect to Synology NAS server. No updates done to PMS or any other setting on my NAS

Server Version#:216J
Player Version#:1.13.4.5271
Hi all. i have lost access to my server but nothing has changed anywhere on my NAS or settings on Plex. Followed the troubleshooting steps on the plex site but can’t get anywhere. Browser just tries and tries but doesn’t reach the page. Logged into app.plex.tv and can see a friend’s server but mine is unavailable.

Don’t even know where to start with this.

Regards
Chris

Chris,
If your syno loses its outside connection (PMS disconnects from Plex.tv) it won’t be available at app.plex.tv.

The first step is to open the Syno directly and see if Remote Access is still connected (ISP firmware updates will knock it down all the time).

hi there. Everything else i run from the Synology (SABNZBD/SONARR/LIDARR etc) run fine so i doubt there is an issue but i really don’t know. Can you guide me a bit more on how i check this stuff?

Sign out of Plex (in your browser) so it’s not associated with your account and won’t go looking to Plex.tv

Now open the IP address of the Syno directly. If Plex/web loads, you know the server is running.
If not, restart the package and see.
If you’ve already taken these steps.

Open the Plex share directly in File Station,
Navigate down until you see Logs.
Right click on Logs and Compress to Logs.zip
Attach that ZIP so I can see what it’s whining about

restarted Synology and its all fine now! Thanks for the help anyway
