I forgot to type my message before creating the topic. Plex was working fine and then yesterday I went to watch a movie on my TV and it would not connect to my Synology NAS. I tried opening Plex on my computer to see if it would connect and got the same message, “SynologyNAS Not Available.” What do I need to check to troubleshoot this problem?
Thanks,
Mark
Can you still access your server via the browser (both the hosted web app or the bundled version on http://[syno ip address]:32400/web)?
No, it will not connect.
Is the server on the Syno actually running?
Server logs might contain some hint on why it’s not showing.
I downloaded the logs. I didn’t see anything that stood out to me as to being the problem.
May we see the logs zip file please?
Update: I deleted the server on my Synology NAS and reinstalled it using the Token which fixed my problem.
Thanks,
Mark
For Future Ref:
On DSM 7,
- Uninstall the package with the KEEP option (1st radio button)
- Reinstall the package and choose the Token option
You won’t need to delete PMS and recreate your server.
It’s awkward to force-reclaim this way but that’s the only way Synology allows me to do it.
Got the Same Problem. Plex Server is running on Synology NAS, but not available via Browser, nor via Android Apps. Restart fixed it, but im tired of manually restarting Plex.
Server Version: 1.40.1.8227
Noticed that it doesnt work at 15.00
Restarted at 15.06
Logs attached from 15.09
Plex Media Server Logs_2024-03-24_15-09-08.zip (4.2 MB)
What can i do to prevent this from ever happening again?
