Not sure I have the right forum category, but didn’t see one that looked more appropriate.
I am suddenly getting the "“Network not available outside your network” message. I haven’t changed anything. I have a Mac running MacOS 10.13.6. I have a Netgear C6300 router and am using Google Mesh for my WiFi network.
I have had the same problem, and had to come back home and check the server settings looking to see if the “Remote Access” is green - Remote access enabled, or red Remote access disabled. One time I had to disable it and re-enable it to get it to work properly. (Was a problem for me in the Windows Server ) Try it and see if it fixes it.
I’m having the same issue. I have a FIOS Quantum router. I attempted to enable remote access automatically and manually by point forwarding. In each case, I get a quick 1 second flash that says I’m connected than I get the message “not connected outside your network” Can someone help me? My OS is Windows 10 Pro; Plex Version 1.13.5.5332. I even disabled my firewall and anti-virus program and I still get the same results.
I am have the same exact issue, im on AT&T fiber using a Motorola router. I have tried everything I could think of im manually port forwarded and had been running fine without issue for months. This has been going on for around 2 or 3 days now and i cannot get it working again. I even reverted back a couple updates and still same issues. This ■■■■ is really irritating and I see a lot of people having this issue. Can we please get some help here.
So this issue is driving me nuts. I’m not a networking genius but I have always managed to get Plex Server to work for me in the past. Since the update before this one I have been unable to get access outside of my network due to the ever present “Not available outside your network” error. I have tried updating to the new version, no dice, I have tried using an older version, still no success. I have used 3 different Windows 10 PC’s and none of them work. I am currently operating off a MyRepublic Wi-Fi Hub+ but have tried using a Netgear D6400 and neither of them work with each of the above configurations. I have tried manually specifying port numbers on both of these and nothing works. Every time I reset the remote access settings it connects for about 2 seconds then disconnects.
I appreciate that occasionally a router may have an issue with a software release however judging by the many threads on and off the Plex forums, it seems as though this is a greater issue than a bug with a couple of router. I have paid a lifetime subscription to this service and all I want is for it to work. Can Plex please have a proper look at this issue and fix it?
