Suggestion on multi-folder Series

Hi guys,

So I read all about the series preparation and how to split it in subfolders (seasons) etc. Everything works fine there, however I have a “problem”. I have a lot of old DVDs from the Looney Tunes which I moved to my storage and then added them to Plex as a “TV Program”.
The problem is the way they are split:
-Main Folder
— Volume 1
— --- Disk 1 - Best of Bugs Bunny
— --- — 01. Episode 1 Name
— --- — 02. Episode 2 Name
— --- — 0x. Episode x
— --- Disk 2 - xxx
— --- — 01. Episode 1 Name
— --- — 02. Episode 2 Name
— --- — 0x. Episode x
— --- Disk x
— --- — 01. Episode 1 Name
— --- — 02. Episode 2 Name
— --- — 0x. Episode x
— Volume 2
— --- Disk 1 - Best of Bugs Bunny
— --- — 01. Episode 1 Name
— --- — 02. Episode 2 Name
— --- — 0x. Episode x
— --- Disk 2 - xxx
— --- — 01. Episode 1 Name
— --- — 02. Episode 2 Name
— --- — 0x. Episode x

And so on and on…
Plex only seems to see a few files and then gives up, any idea how I can improve this and keep the folders/files in a decent category structure?

Cheers

Ugly… but thanks, I’ll see to do that

I just realised the DVDs I have are the “best of” so I can’t really do what you say :frowning:

Here’s what I did. Go to TVDB.com, the Looney Tunes series. The seasons are the year. Select ‘ALL’. Let’s say you burnt Porky’s Moving Day to disk. tvdb.com list it as 1936 x 24, so you name it “Looney Tunes - s1936e24.mkv” and put it in the “Season 1936” folder.

As long as you have one episode per file, you can do it.

And even if not, here is a way to split files:
