Suggestion: Select languages where original titles should be used

I don’t like translated movie titles, and prefer movie titles shown to be the original. However this is obviously impractical for languages I have no understanding of whatsoever, and completely hopeless for languages where I can’t even understand the characters. As far as I can see, users currently has to choose between always showing the original title, or always showing the tilte in the library language. As for now, I have set the library language to English, as then at least I don’t get all the horrible translations of english movie names, which is the majority in my library. Still, quite a lot of titles are “wrong” - ie, I know what the movie is really called, and would prefer to have the original title shown.

It would be great if it could be possible to have something like a “Show original titles for these languages”.

This is exactly what I need also. I’m a native spanish speaker. So my library is in spanish. But I prefer to show the movie titles in english for some languages.

You can override the “use original title” preference per-movie.
So: pick whatever language suits best the majority of your movies, then edit those movies which are the exceptions.

This will only work with “Plex Movie” selected as the metadata agent of your library.
