Super Sonic data usage

Plex running on a Synology NAS, connected to the Internet over a connection with a monthly 100GB cap. If I turn on the Super Sonic feature in the Plex Media server and allow it to run, should I expect to see my Internet data usage increase exponentially? Is Plex having to upload my music library to wherever it hosts the Super Sonic AI? Or does the AI run on my NAS box, and communicate back to some central database in order to carry out the analysis? Or is all of the analysis done solely within the NAS? Does the process create new music files on my NAS’s hard drives?

The sonic analysis is happening on your own server.
During the process, Plex will create temporary WAV versions of your albums – however those are deleted once an album is processed. You will probably only notice this if you have massive albums with hundreds of files.
