tvOS 13 added support for multiple users. But it’s up to developers to enable this. My wife and I have separate accounts in plex (not different users on the same account). I’d like to be able to switch to her user on the tv and switch to her account.
This would be amazing.

Plex already has Fast User Switching in Plex Home. You can also invite regular plex.tv accounts into a Plex Home.

User switching would happen at the tvOS level, e.g. my husband goes to watch his content on our Apple TV by switching to his Apple ID account via tvOS. Now, when he opens up an app, that app recognizes him as the user, and that app switches to his account (he sees his Plex content, his YouTube content, his favorite channels on Live TV apps, etc.). When he’s done, he turns of the Apple TV and goes plays video games for hours on end with his quad monitor, high-end graphics Windoze box.
Now I start up the Apple TV, switch to my Apple ID account via tvOS. Now when I start any app that does user accounts, it switches to my account for that app. I get to watch my Plex content just by starting Plex, my YouTube content just by starting YouTube, etc.
In tvOS, I shouldn’t have to switch accounts on every app once I’ve switched in on the tvOS level.

This would be an excellent feature! I have a Plex server and a few servers shared with me. My parents have their own Plex server and mine shared with them.
I have an account on my parents’ Apple TV that I’d like to sign into my Plex. Whenever I pull up my account on the Apple TV and open Plex, it’s signed into my parents’ Plex account. If I sign into my own, it signs theirs out on their Apple TV account.
I would love to be able to sign into my Apple TV account and have my Plex account in the Plex app -and- have them be able to sign into their Apple TV account and have their Plex account in the Plex app.

this would be nice- - it would skip a step in the UX by auto suggesting the user.
it becomes especially nice when e.g. my wife connects her headphones – that automagically switches to her profile – so the whole thing would be really lovely and seamless.
This may now be possible with the upcoming addition of the automatic sign-up api in tvOS 26.
