I can pretty easily reproduce this but repeatedly. If I’m watching something and switch apps to Snapchat and then switch back the whole app UI becomes unresponsive. Play pause controls don’t work, the x to close playback doesn’t work, and using control center doesn’t do anything. The only fix I’ve found that works is to force quit the app and restart.
When switching to Snapchat does it go into picture in picture mode? Does it happen with any other apps?
It doesn’t go into PiP. And as far as I can tell there aren’t any other apps that cause this
Likely going to need your iOS logs so I can add to a bug report ( feel free to message them to me) . I was not able to reproduce when I installed Snapchat today.
I know you said it was not going into PiP mode, just want to confirm if you have PiP enabled in settings or not.

I see a PiP button in the player, but I didn’t find anything in settings for it
Settings > Experience > Picture in Picture
That toggle is currently on

Android app struggles majorly when switching between apps. Picture i. Picture is hit or miss, you almost always lose your subtitle capability when moving back and forth, video player usually frezes the video for about three seconds when restarting, etc. May want to look into what happens to the app as a whole when it is put ibto the background.
New logs won’t hurt. Just have not been able to reproduce myself
