How do I sync pinned libraries across ALL DEVICES AND BROWSERS? Suuuuuuppper tired of pinning and repinning every time I login with a new app, browser or clear cache.
Where is that settings sync button? What if a user is signing in via an app?
You used the plex-web tag, so I assumed you only meant the web app.

I use a Mac Pro and Windows 10 machine at the office, Mac Mini at Home, ipad, iphone, MacBook, Apple TV, etc etc. Multiply that by 2x because sometimes the apps don’t work and I need to go back to the web app. Very annoying that they are all different!
I checked that button you mentioned but apparently it doesnt even work. If I sign in on an incognito browser I would expect my settings to load since Settings Sync is already turned on but thats not the case. One more thing broken…please fix!

The customization sync works within Plex Web across different browsers.
Plex does not sync customizations across different client types on purpose to support different use cases – e.g. you might not want to focus on a 4K video library on your mobile or on video content on a TV (instead of music libraries).
Definitely not working for me. How is that rectified?

What is SUPPOSED to sync? The main issue I see is pinned libraries that are completely different or non-existent when I sign into another browser.

If you’re you using the hosted version of Plex Web (http://app.plex.tv/desktop) with “Turn on Settings Sync” activated and signed in to the same account, you’ll get the same settings across your different browsers (on different clients).
Just tested this with my own setup using Chrome, Safari – desktop and mobile versions on different devices and it works as expected.
Unless I’m mistaken this will include the main navigation (pinned libraries), the home screen setup/customization, user interface language, time format… down to the web client playback and quality settings.
There’s no sync of what libraries are pinned across different Plex apps – this is by design because most users have different media consumption scenarios on different device types (e.g. PC vs. TV vs. mobile).
The other apps besides the web app simply do not have it yet. There is no ETA when they will. You also need to use the newest version of Plex web which is and likely always will be app.plex.tv, not the bundled one.
