Syncing movies failes, but sync of TV is ok. Why?

I’ve got this strange sync problem. I’m able to sync TV shows to my mobile or tablet (both android), but I can’t sync movies. Most movies (a few exceptions) turns up straight away in the sync list in the app with “There is an error with this item”. The movies are normal 1080p in mkv container. transcoded to 4Mbps 720p to safe space on the phone/tablet.

OT - why does the conversion show (waiting) in plex web (=finished converted), while the app still shows converting is ongoing?

The movies play fine in plex web (video direct stream, audio transcodes - chrome). It plays fine with direct play in the new windows app v1.2.0.

I will dive into the logs tomorrow to see if it’s anything special? Which log is the one to check? “Plex Media Server.log” ?

The app is on the same network as the synology/plex, and I’m close to the wirelss, so great wlan reception.
