Transcoding Failing / Stuck on Converting

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112-b23ab3896
Player Version#: 7.3.1

Hi everyone. Hope you’re all safe and well.

My library consists of over 1000 .mkv music videos. I had already synced most of them to my iPad 7, but I cannot get the last 23 files to sync.

I’ve tried doing it from the web server side as well as pulling them from the iPad but neither works. There are slight variations to the failure but it essentially goes like this:

  1. Start the sync process

  2. Transcoder starts and, according to Activity page converts one file

  3. Transcoder crashes. Activity page either clears itself or shows all files with top one showing it’s progress as “Nan%”.

  4. Checking the status in the app on the iPad shows it hanging on “Downloading” and either “Converting” or “Waiting To Convert”.

I’ve disabled hardware accelerated encoding, restarted both my PC and my iPad and cleared the app cache with no success. I’m at a loss.

Log is attached. Thanks for any help!

Anyone? It’s ridiculous that I’m now having to resort to reinstalling the app and syncing 35GB of video (a 12 hour process) every time I update my library.

Tried adding some videos today (9 total). They converted themselves over and over again until I tried syncing from the iPad app at which point it stuck at “Downloading 10 of 24” without actually downloading anything to the iPad. Clearing the Sync tasks from the Manage tab in the app deleted the 1080 videos already synced.

I had plans made to use this at a venue tonight and now I’m left cursing at the Conversions screen.

Help? Anyone?!

Thought I had a workaround figured out. Cancelling the conversion from the web app and then restarting it from the iPad app seemed to work for a couple of syncs.

However, I tried to add about 45 videos to my library this morning and everything got wiped from the iPad. Again.

I would gladly pay for a lifetime membership if this wasn’t an issue and if there was any way to get any kind of support.
