Syncing to Windows App (Stuck on "Waiting to download")

Syncing to Windows 10 App (Stuck on “Waiting to download”)

Description:
When syncing to windows 10 app, everything lines up nicely in a queue, converts, and then gets marked as waiting to download (Server side) and Transferring (Client side), but that’s all she wrote. Nothing else happens it just sits at 50% which is essentially means everything is converted but nothing has downloaded on the face of it.

Tried to resolve by moving the sync folder to a non windows disk and ensuring there’s enough space, but still the same issue remains. Cleared down and restarted the process with this new sync folder location from the get go, but again still the same issue.

Steps to reproduce:
The reproduction steps are simply to follow the sync instructions …

…using latest server and win 10 app, both running fully up to date Win10 Pro.
Client and sever are on different machines.
Insecure connections allowed on both.
All sync triggers are switched on and syncing can be initiated from either server or client.

So the questions:

  1. What’s going wrong?
  2. Why doesn’t plex tell me what’s going wrong?

Any chances that was resolved for you, as I’m facing the same issue, waiting to download, tried everything, restet, etc… No chance, it just doesn’t work.

No it was never resolved.
No response from Plex.
No meaningful error message to say what’s going wrong.
