Server Version#: 1.17.0.1841

It seems that there are similar cases in past versions, but I had no problem running plex 1.14.0.5470. Now if i start palying video on IOS, or other devices. After few attempt Server becomes unavailable. Although I see service running on Synology. Only full restart of NAS brings it back but just to first playing attempt.
Only reliable solution I’ve seen so far was to downgrade.
I reviewed forums, and based on that I deleted caches folder, selected network settings from any to ethernet ( I use one NIC anyway) but to no avail.
Is there any update on this type cases? Or should downgrade the server?

Thank you for response. But when I select Synology, the latest version coming up is 1.17.xxxx
I don’t see 1.18 for synology. can you please share the link? The CPU is Atom C2538

unfortunately it crashed again with 1.18.xxx
A bit of improvement though. I did not have to reboot entire NAS. Just stopped and started service from NAS GUI and it worked. Will run it for few days to see how does it behave.
Will share results.
It is very unfortunate that starting version 1.16, 1.17 even 1.18 Plex is very unstable
Is there anything else I can check?

Disabled Hardware acceleration. Will test and update.
Not sure if any help, but decided to share. Maybe it will help:
I noticed that crash 90% happens in specific circumstances: remote user start video on IOS device and when it casts it to Google stick, server crashes
Re logs for damaged files. Will check FAQ, but crash did not happen when playing audio files
Anyway, I’ll experiment with it
even with Hardware acceleration disabled, it crashed it again.
Will have to downgrade to 1.14 when it was stable. Will provide update whether it helped or not
