Synology DS218+ not showing that Plex is installed

I just set up my device and installed the Plex package through the package installer. I’ve referenced this Synology Plex server new install not allowing setup and followed it.

I downloaded and installed the package manually instead of through the package center. Then I went to manage/index.html#!/setup

But I get a message saying that I don’t have any servers yet. And a link to download and install one to try again.

However, the DiskStation tells me that the package is running.

Any thoughts?

No matter what username or IP address combo I try gives an error.

Also, if I log in to with a different username than my household account, I’m able to access the server.

I didn’t get that far. I only got to “Follow the on screen prompts” in the instructions in Q16.
