I am having issues with getting the out of network working on plex. In my router settings I have my Synology NAS system set to a certain IP address and then I have my port forwarding turned on to port 32400. In plex advanced i had the manual port forwarding checked with the same port number and had the plex app installed on the server. Currently in the advanced tab, it no longer shows my private or public IP. See the attached image.
New development. I was looking at my NAS settings and Unchecked (2) boxes under the network (picture 1) and resigned into plex. Plex port 3200 allowed me to claim my server. I went into the remote settings and checked the manual port button and retry button (picture 2). It took me to a second window to enable remote access (picture 3) and when I click the button it will go green for 2 seconds and then right back to it not being enabled.
That’s good to know. I finally got it working again within my network by by unchecking those boxes but I am still having issues with outside the network. When click the activate outside the external network, it activated then deactivates right away.
I am still having issues with the remote access part. Every time I click enable remote access, it will go green then back to red. Is there a setting that I missed? Do i need to change anything on my modem? I have included a image of all of my router settings. I currently have a netgear R7000 router.
My NAS system is connected to my router and my router connects to ISP modem. I have include a couple of images of the ISP information. Let me know if there is any other settings you need to look at.
I finally got it to work. By disabling the Nat on either of the devices actually caused a big problem and I had to reset both the modem and the router.
I ended up moving the NAS to the modem and created the port forwarding as instructed earlier by you and then reconnected the router to the modem and it worked.
