Hello. I have a DS218+ which I mainly use for Plex/movies/photos. I access it through a Imac (2010). Recently my “movies” and “tv shows” folder under my plex folder in file station have vanished. No clue how it happened don’t even remember the last time I had to access them to drag and drop into them.
With that said plex still plays movies just fine from those folders however I can’t access them to add new content to them in file station–please help!
Ok I’ll check that thank you. I’m starting to think that I didn’t actually store them in the plex shared folder and I’ll have to see my original folder paths to the movies and tv shows on my plex server. Either way they are not showing up in DSM but still playing fine on our devices with plex.
Thanks. I just don’t get what changed. Everything was fine and then all of a sudden they vanished. I’ll keep looking at permissions. I’m guessing I need to be logged in as administrator to do the above suggested R/W permission?
Its been awhile since I set the dsm up but I’m pretty sure you can make a user (myself) the admin correct?? You don’t have to log in with the admin user name? btw I’m the only user on the account
Yep didn’t have the proper permissions—can’t believe I missed the warning about putting the folder in Plex shared folder!!! Gave my user read/write permission, up popped folders and now folders are officially moved!!! Thanks so much.
