Dear all,

I recently tried to add images to my Plex server.
For this purpose I added to the folder with the images to the Plex Photo library.
I also gave the Plex user read/write access to the folder.
Unfortunately the Plex server can not detect any of the images.
Restarting the Plex server also did not solve the issue.
All images are JPEG format.

Could someone please indicate what I am forgetting or doing wrong?

I am a Plex Premium user.

On Synology, because of how they predefine their shared folders, we’ve always had problems using them with Plex.

If you’re using the predefined photo shared folder, the recommendation is simply to create a new shared folder, e.g. “Photos” instead of “photo”, and move your photos there.

Once the shared folder has been created by you instead of DSM, everything works as expected.
