NOT a problem. “Repair” just adds a few more steps.

Confirm all your metadata (DSM 6 server) still resides in the “Plex” shared folder. NOTE: It will and must reside there until the final step where it actually does move to DSM 7 format & structure

Uninstall + Erase option that screwy PMS version which is tagged BETA (1.21.x.3744)
- Erase clears out the errant/rogue DSM 7 phantom server it tried to create

Now install PMS as downloaded from Plex.tv/downloads

It should complain about “PlexMediaServer does not have full control of the Plex share” (words to that effect)

Now pick up here in my migration instructions (screenshots included) which show the easiest way to set permissions for the transition from DSM 6 → DSM 7.
NOTE:
If, when you perform the migration, you still have your metadata in the “Plex” shared folder, another round of Uninstall + Erase might be needed.
It does happen for some but not all therefore be certain , or ask, before using ERASE again
