Synology Dsm7.0.1-42218 not allowing Plex media server update

Just got Synology DS1520+ with DSM7.0.1-42218 and tried to install Plex media server 1.25.0.5282 butget message when trying to do manual install saying This package requires DSM 7.0-4000(update 0) or older
Is there a way i can fix this so i can run plex on my new nas drive?
I have enabled the settings in the shared folder permissions as well as folders, sub folders etc but still nothing.
Just wont let me install latest Plex player version.
Any help is very much appreciated

I dont have the Plex pass so does not show this version for me to download.
Any other suggestions?

Go to the download selector (the left side).

It will open and show you “Synology” and, below it, "Synology (DSM 7).

You want the DSM 7 package

The message about firmware version .. “40000” always tells us that DSM 6 package was attempted.

This is the one i tried to manual install in Synology DSM 7 but got the message as shown in my first message for help as wont let me install that version 1.25.5282-2edd3c44d
Asking for DSM 7.0-4000 update 0 or older when i try
Dont know what else i can do

Please delete any old copies you have then download and try this one.

Ok. I got this installed thank you but now telling me Not authorised. You do not have access to this server.
Does this not install full version of Plex or must i install the beta version that is in the Synology package centre?

don’t click the link in Package Center. (too soon)

Open Plex http://ip.addr.of.Syno:32400/web

The initial setup must be by IP address on DSM 7

If it gives you any more problems
– SIGN OUT of Plexweb (upper right corner)
– Open an Incognito window
– repeat accessing it by IP address

The link you gave does not work as says server not found.
Sorry but am dumb on some things and incognito does not work.
Must i have plex installed on nas or pc before clicking the link you provided or am i missing something.
Could not even sign out of plex as nothing in the top right so maybe installing the media server needs me to install main plex.
Can you confirm and if so must i install synology beta version then try the link again

Think i have got it sorted now as finally got the server up and working.

For some reason it would not accept my Synology ip address the first time so retried it a while later and Plex showed the ip address of my nas and added my files etc and sorted that bit out.

Will check it works via tv later when i have time.
