I have the same problem
Are you using DSM 6 or DSM 7 ?
DSM 7 has a built in support for this .
Or you can check this tutorial - Server credential reset utility for Linux-based platforms .
No chance to do it remotely??? I don’t have direct access to my NAS, why “12” is a must?
Same sht after I charged my password on Plex and now my server is down!!!
I’ve deleted my Synology app “Plex” and installed Plex’s package - taken claimed but no access through the QuickConnect.to link ((((
You can TRY to hit it over QuickConnect with the utility but that’s not tested.
When all else fails, I DO have a “NO S**T” mechanism that will work for you being remote.
There’s more steps but it is guaranteed because the server claims itself while PMS is running.
@ChuckPa
Please tell me
I don’t afraid steps )))
Do you have SSH/Putty command line access to the machine?
@ChuckPa sorry for delayed answer.
I’ve activated SSH access on DSM…
5 minutes later…
