Synology NAS & Smart TV apps

There was an issue with our ISP last night and we lost internet for over 8 hours. I could not access the PLEX app on my Synology or any of my TV’s and phone.

Would it be possible to add support for local network accessibility and app functionality? All of my smart TV’s said server was offline which was not the case as I could access my files shares etc and login to my synology CP.

It would be great if the apps looked for local servers and would be able to access them. Once the internet goes out it all becomes useless. Please consider making this all work when ISP fails.

I’ve made the setting changes in my NAS Plex settings. I’ll wait until later today when no one is home to kill the modem and test.

I always do separate modem from router setup. Only way I fly.
