Right, so I guess some of the agents were updated on the ARM as the scanner has been running all day and Plex Media Server has been using like 100% all day.
When I check the Log file which apparently is now 5.3GB yes gigabytes

I think this is fixed in the latest pre-release. So since you don't have Plexpass you will have to wait a little.

I killed all the process before trying to stream, but it didn't worked. Now the file appear to work agin on plex web, but still no other works :(. I'm not sure when you talk about the transcoder, i thought that was not available in the ARM version ?
Really strange, anyone has had problems with new episodes not showing up in plex while the files are in the right place?
Hey Guys…I seem to have a memory-leakage issue with PLEX on my DS412+. I first noticed it yesterday when the server was choking on a single 720p stream. I logged into the Synology and found its RAM usage was hovering right around 97%. The resource monitor showed many iterations of “python” using over 600MB of memory. Shutting down the PLEX server package and restarting made this go back down to ~15% last night…but now tonight it was right back up to the +600MB of usage. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the PLEX server.
Is this a known issue? If so…is there any workaround?

@HSL: I have the same problem with one of my series. I tried moving the files in a season1 folder and restart indexing but it didn't help. Anybody any idea's how to fix this ?
Playing with it some more this morning...it seems to be related to the library updates. I did a manual update this morning...and the RAM gradually climbed up to 95% utilization, and didn't go back down after the update was complete. I guess I could disable all automatic updates and just do it manually, and then reset the service afterwards...but sheeesh. <_<
Hi! I’m Jonathan from Singapore. I have Synology DS210j NAS server with DSM 4.1 installed. While Plex Media Server v0.9.7.3.317–d4217ec in this NAS server, when I click Plex Media Server icon, it opens a new window “This page can’t be displayed”. Is there anyway that Plex can work on my Synology DS210j?
have you open the port 32400?
Try to go to package Center>Plex server>More> click on the URL
That will connect you to: "http://YourAddress:32400/web/index.html"
edit: I can confirm that the link from Plex Media Server icon is broken.
I now removed plex, installed the new server and reinstalled sabnzbd and sickbeard,.. downloded one show, but plex doesn't see the episodes,..
Anyone has a clue how to fix this?

It always worked fine, also on the synology, it just stopped working last week, and the only thing that changed for me was that I don’t use newzbin anymore, I had to switch to nzbmatrix to download my tv series.

The web interface also has a browse function, when I browse through the TV section I see the folders of the series and the seasons, but plex doesn't see the mkv files in the folders.
somehow it looks like the naming is the problem, but weirdly I haven't changed anything there :/
For it to work it needs to be called "**Homeland.S02E07**.720p.HDTV.x264-IMMERSE.mkv"

I hate to do this, but my review started on Page 6 which shows how long this thread has been going on. Back there, someone posed a question which is basically, I’ve got this plex user on my system with a password added at install, and, well, what the heck is it? Sure, I can su to run things as plex, and have just figured out the script start/stop/status on my own, but I don’t like the idea of this user id on my system with a password I don’t know. Call me a dictator wannabee. So, does anyone know what the default password this plex user id is using on the Synology Nas DSM 4.1 package? Just got my 1512+ nas 48 hours ago, and I love it so much all I can find to bytch about so far is this user password.
there is no password, the plex app runs as user plex, which is very common (and good) practise in the unix world. do a cat /etc/passwd on your box and you'll see you have many many more users, all there to run the specific stuff they run. Even MS is finally starting to catch on with this approach in order to improve security.
Not to be argumentative, but plex user id in /etc/shadow sure looks like it has an encrypted password.

It is a pain in the ass to update my server remotly. some times it doesn’t work, and takes a lot of time. My server is places 3 hours away from me and i only have a 1Mbit/s uplink at my current home. vs. 40Mbit where the server is.
- Auto firewall roles.
For my self it is no problem to add firewalls roles, but for a less experienced user it is not so easy the first time. Can there be create pre-make roles like the one Synology have made for there own apps.
Othere then that it works very well similar to windows version.
Hi guys, is there any plan to update PLEX Server Web Interface on Synology?
The reason is, I used to run it on MAC MINI and then moved to Synology DS1511. But the PLEX web interface on Synology efficiency is not as good as MAC version. When I refresh metadata or wanted to change a Movie/TV background picture or poster it takes a really long time to be done. On MAC version, I can select the poster/background I like and it changed very quick. Due to this, sometimes I still run both servers at home. But i would like to run only synology one as it’s 24/7 running…
Since MAC version is also moving towards Web Interface now, is there plan to transplant just the same one to Synology?

Hey all.
I tried to install the new PMS on my Synology DS411+II, but it failed. After downloading the package, starting the install with browsing to the package file location and pressing “Next”, it just hangs there for about 20 sec. I can then press “Next” Again, and the same thing happens. Any other package I download, I can install without problems.
Has anyone experienced this?
