Synology Plex Server Completely Unresponsive

Server Version#:1.16.5.1552-8e8d0c785

I have been using the Plex server on my Synology for YEARS flawlessly. Late last week, it became unresponsive. I cannot get to it, at all. I logged into the Synology admin and stopped the Plex server, then restarted it. (I’ve now done this multiple times over the the past 3 days.)

I try to get to the server using the standard URL (http://192.168.xxx.xxx:32400/web) and it times out every time. This IP is across our local network, not over the open Internet. I tried accessing in Firefox, in Chrome, and in an incognito window in Chrome. All attempts result in a timeout (“the server took too long to respond”).

I can see in Synology that the Plex server package is still installed; that’s how I got the info above. I can see in the Synology file manager that the media files are all still there. I cannot, through the Synology file manager, get to the Plex folder – even as Admin I apparently do not have permissions. For this reason I cannot get to the log files to provide those to you.

I would appreciate being able to have my Plex server responsive again, but after spending the last few hours looking through this community forum, I cannot divine the appropriate steps to take.
