Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058-e67a4e892
Player Version#: Version 4.16.2 - Web App
Also downloaded latest plex app for Windows today and still not seeing my server on any device other than Apple TV. All devices are on the same network. NAS is wired to router, Apple TV and Samsung SmartTV also wired, not showing on Samsung SmartTV either.
Synology was on latest version prior to today, but i added the trust permissions and certificate today, rebooted the NAS just to be sure. Still only showing up and media IS playable from Apple TV.
zipped logs are also attached in another post here. One other note…I ‘launch’ the Plex Web App from my Synology GUI and I do not see my server there, and there is no settings option to view my server or change server settings, etc…
Your modem/router has DNS Rebinding Protection enabled (which is good).
It doesn’t know to allow plex.direct private domain.
Can you add the entry to permit plex.direct for your local LAN.
(PMS has its own internal DNS-like table. This is how it finds the players on your LAN)
You mention trust permissions and cert. The simple questions: Do you use the Synology firewall? Does a firewall / subnet crossing exist between players and the server ?
I’ll further investigate the router DNS Rebinding Protection. My router is a bit old and has limited options for firewall configuration. May have been something that started with a firmware update.
I don’t use the firewall, and don’t have any other firewalls or subnets that exist between my other machines and the server.
Feel free to provide any thoughts on that. I’ll plan to mark this resolved at day’s end as I believe the issue is probably at the router level. Thanks!
