I am running 2 Plex media servers on my network - one on Synology NAS and second on Nvidia SHIELD TV Pro. The SHIELD TV server got broken after the 9.0 SHIELD Experience Upgrade. I was able to get it functional again with the 9.0+ SHIELD Experience HotFix and Sideload update (I had to set it up from scratch again) but after I started the PMS on the SHIELD device the server running on the Synology NAS has disappeared from all my Plex players and from the Plex web interface running under my Plex account.
Now I am not able to connect to the PMS running on the Synology NAS even locally (via http://NAS_IP_address:32400/web/index.html) as I am always redirected to Plex web where the Synology NAS is no longer registered / visible under my Plex account (I can neither see any libraries from this server nor have I access to the configuration of this server).
What should I do to reconnect the Synology PMS and make it visible again? Thank you for any suggestions!
Did you by chance change your Plex account password and opt to sign-out all devices in the process? If so, you’ll need to re-claim your PMS on the Syno – signing out all devices includes those servers which means it’ll no longer be associated to your account.
Accessing the bundled Plex Web of your Syno server shouldn’t re-route you to the hosted version (though IIRC clicking “configure” in the Syno app center will do that).
No, I did not make any changes in my Plex account. Strange thing is that the Syno server remained accessible in one Chrome tab which I did not refresh but was not visible / accessible in any other Plex players or any new instances of the Plex web (I have tried different browsers, different computers).
I have it finally working by stopping the Plex server package and launching it again on the Syno via the DSM package center. After that, the Syno server and all its libraries reappeared.
