Any info about this broke plex cloud? My plex cloud dont work anymore… I get playback error all time
Hi there,
I’m running the latest build but for a few weeks some of my watched history is duplicated, even triplicated, says the same stop, start, ip, etc. Doesn’t seem to matter the user, local or WAN.
Any ideas what might be causing this? I can upload logs tomorrow if they help.

Can confirm this started happening since June 3 (or 5-6, not sure, since I’ve been removing duplicates from history). This is reproducing on two different servers in different environments, on different users, on the latest updates. This happens not 100% of the time, but more than half of the time there are same times for same client and same item from the same library (it’s even grouped since I have grouping on). Also, not sure if connected, but in the notification logs there are usually two notifications to the same agent on created at the same time (and the second one fails). I also checked libraries and they aren’t duplicated. @Pcmanrules do you also have notification log duplicates?
Attaching the logs and the screenshot of the most recent issue occurrence (with date and item keys).
Also, (and this was bothering me for a while), why some items aren’t collapsing, while other are? I thought maybe in some cases there are longer pauses between continue watches or something, but couldn’t find a pattern. In my screenshot we can see 3 episodes of two shows, with duplicated watches from start to finish. But one episode of the show “Темная материя” is collapsed, while the previous - isn’t. Maybe my logs will be helpful in figuring out what caused the irregular grouping of watches too? Or is it a known bug with known causes?
I have found that when I upgrade Tautulli and the upgrade is finished, the only way to get the application to run again is to reboot the PC. If I try to launch the other url again, it just gives me an error. I have checked the FAQ but I am sure I am doing something wrong. I really don’t want to make @SwiftPanda16 just point me to the FAQ I missed but I am bracing myself!
Has anyone else noticed Tautulli being a lot slower to load the UI then it used to? It’s something I’ve noticed in the last 2 or 3 weeks?
Update to v2.1.14, it should be fixed there
.
For the first time in months, nothing new was added to my server this past 7 days. When I check my mailbox for a ‘recently added’ that scheduled to run at 1145pm Friday night, local time, nothing.
I expected something, even if it’s a blank newsletter with "no new content was added during {time frame}.
Could we get that fixed? I had one of my users message me asking if it had broken. I understand that currently may be as intended, but it’s not user friendly.
Can we get a friendlier name from a live TV stream other than the hash stream ID?
And, the Python NaN not a number shows for percentage too. Can that be made prettier?

Ok I have 2 issues. first its not sending out my emails as it did. so I go to email area… and it says loading configuration and just sits there loading and loading. So I tried the newsletter nothing is showing up. now I didn’t put anything under library to add as I understood it to pull from recently added and that is in dashboard as I saw that under faq. so what do I need to do here. only reason I use this is for email notifications and now that’s not working.
That’s intended by design.
Live session title is directly from the XML.
Already been fixed in v2.1.14.
You have to select the libraries otherwise it doesn’t know what recently added items to pull from the dashboard.
IP addresses come directly from the Plex server. Tautulli doesn’t do anything to figure out the IP address. You will have to fix your Plex networking.
I will not provide support without log files.
The only thing I can think of is you have multiple instances of Tautulli running.
I didn’t think my question warranted log files so I will get them the next time I update the application.
Thanks for the hint! I actually had two instances of Tautulli running, because I have two plex servers (two containers, two config folders, two different server addresses). But now I see that I have 3 docker containers running, including an old one of server1. But the screenshot is from server2, which is not duplicated in docker. I will disable that container and will continue monitoring. Just to be sure - running multiple instances of different servers shouldn’t cause any bugs?
UPD: yep, server2 was also duplicated, but under the old name of plexpy. Looks like due to the power outage docker reset my autostart settings and just started them all. Thanks again for the help!
@Pcmanrules Multiple instances is probably something worth checking for you also
I don’t know how to get the XML of a live session, but is there any other field that could be substituted?
I was looking at the wiki, but didn’t see any sign of this. Apologies if I missed it.
When logging transcodes, does Tautulli capture whether hardware acceleration is enabled for the decode, encode, or both? If so, how do I review that?
Thank you!
It is logged in the database, but currently not viewable in the UI.
