I’m puzzled as I can’t seem to play 4k to my new tcl tv via plex. TV is 4k with hdr+ and dolby vision, but the video is limited to 1080p via ethernet connection. I have a xiaomi mi box s connected to the same tv and it plays 4k without any hiccups; it however doesn’t support dolby vision only up to hdr. Player version is the same for my xiaomi mi box. I want to be able to use my TV with plex in 4k or even with dolby atmos if possible. Am I out of luck and just get a new nvidia shield?

Same problem here. I ended up installing Kodi with the Plex plugin and that worked great.

Just to let you know, I also bought a new C825 model and on this 4K playback works on the native Plex App.
