Technical issues setting up Plex

Hi!

So I just set up Plex. I added all my libraries but it doesn’t seem to be working. Whenever I play something it doesn’t play the file.

I also got access to my brother’s server. When I play something through his server it works fine. So something is wrong. I just don’t know what.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, you will have to give some more information for Forum members to offer advice.

Screen shots, Server version, client your using to view etc

For example Plex media server in browser is not a great player. Try Plex for Windows or Mac, much better players.

Yes, of course!

This is the set up. Me in blue my brother in red.

When I put on a movie from my brothers server I press on cast:

And the movie plays on the TV:

When I play something from my server this happens:

So maybe some setting is off?
