I have been trying to connect Plex in my Roku after purchasing a new NAS from Qnap. I want to say thanks to all who helped me under my old name, since I can’t come back and post on that now. After a number of great suggestions, and help from Plex Forum, Qnap and two experts with connections to my pc system, I was about ready to give up. Every time I tried to connect with the link I would get “credentials expired” and NAS not authorized error messages.
I decided since I set up a new Plex account for my NAS, since the NAS has a different Plex download program, and deleted my Plex on my PC where my PC was the server. In doing so I likely caused my problems.
I deleted my Roku account. I deleted my Plex account. I set up a new gmail email account. I started over with new accounts. It works! My NAS works. Plex works. Roku works! To celebrate I bought a newer and better Roku!
I learned a lot. I appreciate everyone’s help and suggestions, but I may have created my own problem. Thanks for your concern and help.
