Player Version#:can’t find that info
While checking my albums I noticed that there are at least three instances where the Artist is now wrong. In one case, 75 albums had the same artist incorrect and another had 143.
I rebooted the PC - no change.
I checked the file mp3 tags and they all show the correct information.
I tried refreshing the metadata but that no effect.
If I delete the album ( after hiding the files ) and re-adding it, the problem is fixed. But that is not and viable solution where hundreds of albums are affected.
any help would really be appreciated.

Let me provide more information.
All the music is stored under a strict directory format: Composer/Instrument/Piece/Performer.
I always use Artist and Album Artist tags.
Everything has been fine for five years, then suddenly - Boom!
In one case albums performed by Daniel Barenboim, Maurizio Pollini, Nelson Friere, Athena Ensemble and dozens more have had the Artist changed to Fanny Robillard & Paloma Kouider who should only have one album to their name.
I just sorted the library by Artist. Daniel Barenboim did not appear in the artist listings. But when I search for Barenboim all his albums appear but with wrong artist info, either Athena Ensemble or Glenn Gould.
I’m not sure your method would really apply in this case but thanks for the interest.
Most of my compilations with correct tags are a mess.
They have moved into different artists!!! And I can’t even correct them, the padlock icon does disappeared! I mean, I change, I save and the problem is still there. I also had no problem for 5 years
