The connection is not strong enough to play this video / Buffering / Freeze

Server Version#: 1.23.5.4841
Player Version#: 4.59.2

I’m able to access server remotely library appears with no issues. when I’m trying to play any video (remotely) it will take a long time to load then give the error " The connection is not strong enough to play this video" then continue to stream and constantly buffers or just freeze
issue occurs for all videos i attempted.

When playing locally within the same network like being on wifi it streams with no issue.

restarted my computer multiple times

followed instructions in the following support article

I disabled the below
(Windows) Disable “Large Send Offload” (LSO) Driver Setting
followed instructions and restarted my server

check for speeds for transcoding in the logs and i do not see anything below 1 for speed

attempted to disable Enable local network discovery (GDM) in the plex network setting
attempted to disable ipv6 on plex and from network adapter on the plex server

Disabled Windows firewall, No Antivirus installed, Disabled firewall on my router as well

Interesting way to get to load up instantly and play with no issue is when i run a speedtest at https://www.speedtest.net/ when i press go for what ever reason the video start playing with no issues

Please advise what you would like me to provide logs and time stamps of when i did each actions of pressing play and running speed test etc to see what may be the cause

Your upload bandwidth is not strong enough or your LTE connection is not strong enough or your server is not strong enough to transcode the video.

Hey @kegbeach thanks for the reply, that’s what I thought but I checked logs regarding transcoding but there is no indications that it’s not able to keep up from the support article posted earlier the speed was well above 1. Secondly regarding LTE what explains the scenario when I run the speed test on the Plex server the video loads and plays with no issues on my iPhone while being on LTE ?

I dunno about starting a speedtest on the phone and then the video automagically starts playing. You must have ghosts in your wires.

Try driving to a spot closer to your cell tower and then play. Use cellmapper.net to find your tower.

Had full bars and same issue even attempted to have it play in lower quality but constantly buffers.

Can anyone else assist please.

Also attempted to change port Plex uses and configured router port forwarding but I’m still experiencing the same issue
