Does it persist if you do a Plex Dance (full instructions in the link)?
How should I do that?
How do I do that?
Should I just clean things up, empty the trash, and scan the library contents?
I didn’t help.
The only problem I have, is that i don’t have pictures almost all of my movies.
But i don’t think that is the problem, that Plex dance. I don’t know how I do a plex dance. Some of it, but not all of it.
I’ve almost never had that problem.
The procedure is described if you click on the link where it says Plex Dance [
here]
But i don’t know how I move all files for the media item out of the directory your Library is looking at, so Plex will not “see” it anymore. double check naming schema and move files back. How do it do that?
I don’t
Let’s assume you want to move a movie in the following location:
C:\NotisMedia\Movies\The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)\The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001).mkv
On your Plex Media Server machine
- Open Windows Explorer
- Create a temporary folder – as an example:
C:\PlexDanceInterimFolder\ - Go to the folder that contains one of your movie library’s folder (example:
C:\NotisMedia\Movies\) - Move the movie folder to your temporary folder from #2; example:
C:\NotisMedia\Movies\The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)\→C:\PlexDanceInterimFolder\The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)\)
Then proceed with the next step from the Plex Dance
But I have all my movies on my 2 eksternal harddrives. E and F.
I will not move them.
But this is so lot of movies. I dont want to move them.
You don’t have to move them to C:… this procedure is simply to move them temporarily out of their current folder.
So if your movies are on E:\Movies\, move 1 movie folder temporarily to e.g. E:\PlexDance\.
But they are already on E.
How should I do it if they are already on E?
Sorry… on my way to bed.
In my sleepy state it feels like you’re not even reading the example I gave you
– but that might just be my sleepiness.
My movies i in my harddrive e. Not c. But they are already in e.
