The latest iOS version broke access to all my Plex Media Servers

Something broke in the latest iOS version. Everything worked fine prior to this update, but post this update, I can’t access any of my Plex Media Servers. I just get this screen:

Some observations:

  • I’m able to use the web interface and stream content just fine
  • This appears to affect both my Plex servers (that run different versions)
  • Not sure if it’s relevant, but none of my devices are logged into Plex, as I don’t want that functionality

According to your screenshot, the server you are trying to access is signed into a Plex account. You can’t access that server in this case. You’ll need to sign them out.

What in particular in the screenshot leads you to believe it is signed in?

That said, i did double check it and no, it’s not signed in.

Yes, that’s the hostname. I’ve poked around in all settings and can’t seem to find anything that suggests that it’s being logged in.

Oh sorry, read it wrong. Typically that would be the server owner. If it is signed out, then that’s correct as the library and server name.

I’ll need the log from the app to see what’s going on. iOS Logs | Plex Support

No worries. I’ve posted a partials snippet of the iOS logs above. Do you want a full-on verbose log? The snippet should cover when I tried to connect.

That snippet shows nothing useful.

I did also find something interesting: I’m able to access content from the “Home” screen, by tagging the various shares. However, if I try to access the shares from their “pinned home” in the side bar, I get the error above.
