After updating to PMS v. 1.18.7.2415 my Plex iOS app, AppleTV’s and my wife’s devices (also iOS) no longer load our libraries. We receive “Loading Error”, “Server is Currently Unavailable”, or the loading screen pin will just keeps spinning. At times it’ll load the tiles but not the thumbnails and others I can click into the movies, but they’ll never start playing.
Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to fix this? Other than installing the updates when they’re available for my PMS and mobile apps I’ve changed nothing else. I’ve tried reseting the cache on the mobile apps, uninstalling and reinstalling them, hard reboots of the phones. I’m convinced this issue is a result of something on my server, not the clients since its the same across all clients.
You could try cycling power to your Plex Media Server. I take it you’re running it on a Windows system? After you restart your PMS host, then I would access the Plex media library using that same system before trying with your mobile devices.
You could try accessing your Plex media using a different computer as well to see if a new client can access it but not the ones you’ve been using previously.
Same here. Restarted my server. Linux (on a Pi). Loads on Samsung tv, loads on Fire Stick, loads on web. Can’t even find my media on the iOS app. Of course their BS content is there (not that any of us ever wanted it). I want access to my media, not their crap content.
Same issue. Issue is recent because it was working a few months ago. I have the latest plex iOS app, latest iOS for iphone 11 pro, latest plex server. Server AND libraries are accessible from all my computers and my Rokus, but my iOS app says “SERVER_NAME is Currently Unavailable” when I click any of the libraries. Oddly enough, in the plex iOS app, the dashboard loads, anything I click on in the dashboard loads, and anything I search for loads, the issue is specifically with the loading the libraries.
Can you share some logs from your iOS Plex app? I’m currently sitting at pretty much the same setup and it’s working very smoothly, so I suppose there’s something specific to your setup or connectivity
