Not sure what is going on but I am suddenly completely unable to stream anything using a new Amazon Fire 4K stick or my older Amazon Fire from my remote Plex server using the new player.
Streaming worked perfectly fine from kodi with the Plex add-on but nothing with the official Plex app android app on the Fire TVs. Finally after exhausting my troubleshooting options, I was able to discover the issue is with the new player. For some reason I am unable to stream anything remotely using the new player, whether it’s 1080p or 480p content.
Switching to the old player fixed the issue.
Streaming 720p content locally, from a local raspberry pi, and the new player worked just fine, but streaming remotely using the new player, from my wifi connected devices, suddenly is not working for me at all.
If you guys are completely dropping the old player on android, I’m glad I have kodi with the Plex add-on as a backup, for issues like this.
Can the new player synchronize where you are with the chapters?
for instance if I have a 10 min video with 2 chapters, 1 at the start and one a 5 mins. If I am on minute 6 of playback and I press down to go to chapters, it should put me in the chapter that starts at the 5 min mark, not the first one.
also I second TeknoJunky’s ask for:
please make the left/right time line factors increase exponentially (smaller increments first then increasingly larger increments) - Kodi does it to perfection if you need to see what it looks like
In our own testing, the player now puts you in the correct chapter. If you’re not seeing that, could you please provide some logs, and ensure you’re up to date.
