Amazon Fire Stick 4k MAX
I have another audio issue, the first was with Gilligan’s Island (HDR message for Gilligan's Island only on Fire stick) but his new one I see as CRITICAL. I ripped The Omega Man (1971) from DVD and it works fine in my Edge browser and android phone. However, on my fire stick there is no audio (just like GI). What makes this different from the GI issue is that after exiting the video, there is still no audio at all. No navigation clicks, or background audio for other selections. Even after exiting the Plex app, the Amazon Fire menu has no navigation clicks, no audio at all! I start Sling or Tubi, any other app, and NO AUDIO! The fire stick audio is completely broken. The only thing I can do is restart the fire stick, then all is working again… unless I try to watch The Omega Man or, as it turns out, Taste the Blood of Dracula or possibly ANY film that uses AC3 Mono audio. I noticed that all three titles use AC3 Mono. I would look for more such films in my library but I’m tired of restarting the fire stick.
I even tried Optimizing Omega Man for TV, but plex won’t use the optimized version. It insists on transcoding. (I haven’t had much luck with optimizing)
I really hope this can be fixed soon. My library is now a minefield.
