So Just today I noticed that all of my recording schedule disappeared. I went to the Program Guide to schedule recordings again and that area keeps displaying “The Program Guide is Empty” I’ve tried deleting the DVR and reinstalling it, reinstalling Plex server, switching to an older version of Plex Server but no program guide data is being downloaded no matter what I do. Help me Please!! I love Halloween and have a lot of Halloween related content on the horizon.
I have this same issue also. I deleted the DVR and re-created it. The scan on my hd homerun prime finds all 608 channels however the EPG comes back very fast and empty. In insight into resolving this would be great
I have the same problem. Guide had data this morning. Now no data and, likewise, refresh data seems to download quickly and yield no data.
Same its suddenly empty and won’t update.

tl;dr:
When one channel from Gracenote provides empty guide data the whole guide is going to be broken. You need to find the channels responsible. Fastest way to do that would be to deactivate 50% of channels and see if it works then. If not, deactivate more, if it does, reactivate channels until you find the specific channels responsible.

This worked for me. Took a little while to track down the culprit channel. I hope Plex fixes this behavior. Seems like rather an oversight to allow one channel to screw up the entire EPG.
I deleted a few channels from the DVR and now the guide is populating again. Not sure the reason for the problem but I’m happy it’s fixed. Thanks Everyone!
Have the same problem - I have 486 channels. Do I really need to start disabling all of them?? Is there not a log file somewhere that could point out the culprit?
I have to say all the guide issues I’ve experienced make this a rather unreliable solution unfortunately…

Which channels did you delete? I’m going at random here.
SonLife seemed to be the problem for most people today FIOS 297
I am using Plex 1.9.6.4385 with HD HomeRun Prime on Frontier FiOS. My program guide was empty, following the suggestion in the thread , I unchecked SONLIFE, Channel 297 on my carrier and guide data started loading.
Yes, I am having the same issue here (HDHomeRun + Verizon FIOS). I followed the someone’s suggestion posted here to rebuild the program guide by unchecking SONLIFE (Channel 297) from the channel list . Refreshing EFG now seems to take forever (extremely slow). This may fix the problem - empty TV program guide for the time being but I hope someone will come up with a permanent solution or the PLEX development team will address this issue in the next release.
