The series I've finished watching cannot be recorded in my viewing history.

The newly released episodes can’t be recorded in my viewing history? But I can see which episodes I have finished watching on the series page (there’s a green check in the top right corner).

Are you talking about the server playback history on dashboard?

The server playback history only tracks what you actually streamed the file from on your server. If you just marked it as watched because you saw it at some other date this is only the watch state not a streamed playback event from server.

if you have View State Syncing enabled watch state history will show on your profile

I watched it on Plex and also turned on the View State Syncing. The record works normally for other series and movies, but not for the series I’m watching now.

Can you look at the plex media info xml and see what the giud is for one of the episodes. it will be in towards the top of the xml. It will be something like

Sorry it won’t show your previous watches just ones in the future. if you mark it as unwatched then watched again it should show up.

I’m not sure what went wrong, but this isn’t working for me. I tried to remove the watched status from episode I had already watched and rewatch them, as well as finish the episode which i havent wtached. However, both actions did not update the viewing history. Did I miss something?

It was an issue with the metadata import it could have happened with anything and was not related to it being a Chinese drama

I have found another case with the same issue (65214b9ec8585830879653b4). Is this type of problem fixed only after someone reports it, or does the server automatically fix it after a certain period of time?

I would say that metadata updates generally about every 48-72 hours after a change on the external sites we get metadata from. So when you see any metadata issue wait at least that long and if it does not resolve itself then please report it to us.

I’ve encountered the same issue again (65f73a49d5fac9e9a9dac7aa). This TV show was released on June 6, yet even now I still can’t record watch history. I don’t understand why it seems like all new Chinese dramas have this problem.
