I was using Plex server for many months, no issues. Today I had to reset my Windows 10 on my PC. After reloading the Plex software and logging into my Plex account, I’m getting this message…
The server you’re trying to access doesn’t seem to exist
I had to change my PC name, but I’m not sure what is wrong?
I’m able to see all my movies and TV shows. I verified my devices were authorized.
If you indeed reset PMS, then as a start, install the latest version of Plex Media Server, and after that, browse to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web and if not prompted to claim it, go here:
OK, I downloaded the ClaimPMS4Win file. After entering info, username & Plex TV Password I’m getting this error: Status code was: unauthorized.
Is this password the same as my Plex Server? When I log in I usually use a PIN. The PIN doesn’t work either.
Thank you for responding.
OK, I checked the network connection, it is currently set to Private.
Other network settings: Network discovery = turned off.
All Networks: public file sharing is off.
Password protected sharing: turned on.
According to the ClaimPMS4Win tool, my database is not claimed. However, when I try to login into the tool, it says unauthorized. (it was working before, with the same password)
When I go to https://app.plex.tv it says: Add Your Media to Plex - Get Plex Media Sever
So I reloaded the PMS, same issue.
Here’s what i did regarding the ClaimPMS4Win software, I was able to login, but i did not press the reclaim button, i exited the program. When i went back to it, it says unauthorized again. Sorry for the confusion.
Do you have a 3rd-party firewall or anti virus software installed? (disable them)
Is the time and date of your machine set correctly? (set them correctly and enable automatic time sync)
That means plex.tv didn’t recognize your credentials as valid.
Make sure you are using the right password and don’t forget the 2FA code if you have enabled it.
