i just bought the wd ex2 ultra version 5.08.115 and updated the app on the device to
1.21.1.3830
created a public folder on the nas, copied my music from the sony media server folder to this public folder. added library to this folder on the nas. there is hundereds of mp4 songs in the folder where each folder is a album
but it says i can not find any files.
new to plex…not sure where to start looking for the problem. you would figure it would find the files after do a scan. in the alerts side bar it shows it scanned the files
ok, i got a test folder and songs now show up if i rename the ext of the file to m4a.
I use sony media center to house my songs to send to receivers or update walkmans.
i got a syn app running so if any song is changed/added it is copied over to the nas share folder where i have plex library attached.
so sony ext is mp4 but plex m4a. i could try to find a app to do batch file renames but then that will break the sync process. is there a way to have plex read the files with ext mp4. if not i will have to look for a different product that will intergrate
is there a reg hack for library music to process mp4 files for music?
or other solution. im assuming im not the only one that has issues with the file ext
