There MUST be a way to downgrade PMS from ver 1.0 to ver .9. Where and how?

Ever since my upgrade to version 1.0 of PMS, I can’t play most of my library of MKV files. Most play with no sound, and a few won’t even load although I know the file is good and worked with version .9 of PMS.

How can I get the most recent version of PMS before version 1.0?

Try to give us the logs of what happens when you try to play your mkv files. I have no issue at all playing them on my machines even if that doesn’t help. But it clearly show that PMS 1.0 is not the issue as it works for most of us. So instead of asking to go back to a former version, just help us figure out why your files do not work anymore by providing pertinent logs to your issue.

Hi i have the same issue, i am using an Asustor Nas. All of my files worked fine and then when i updated most of my MKV, some AVI files etc… will not play. Says unsupported or that the library says they don’t exist and that i need to try and mount the drive. When trying to play it just spins and then says invalid file.

HERE ARE MY LOGS, SAYS CHECK THAT THE FILE EXISTS.

It’s the server logs we need not the player log.

Ok, how can i get you those? No idea where to find them

There are lots of posts on the forum about issues with playback and sync on PMS 1.0, but very few responses with solutions. I’m looking to downgrade myself too at the moment…

I have no idea where to get those logs from. It’s not just MKV it’s a lot of AVI files as well… I’d say more than half of my library will no longer play

I’m having the same problem. Files that played fine now don’t play at all after the upgrade. Some files play others do not, the loading icon just spins like it can’t find the file, I get no error message. Checking the info shows that the file link is correct. When new movies are added it displays all the metadata about the file and pulls the correct data from the web but some will play other won’t, the encoding is the same in 2 files and one will play the other won’t.

Well, we only need the .log files and mostly only the Plex Media Server log as it should be te one saying what is happening when you launch a video that is not playing on your client. But, to help us help you you must prepare your files as in:

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Restart PMS
  3. Launch the movie
  4. Get the PMS log which will then only contain informations since the time you restarted PMS and tried to launch the movie.

Otherwise you’ll need to specify some timestamp when your action (trying to watch the video and failed) took place to help parse into your log.

Here is my log file, I was trying to watch Batman vs Superman.
This forum would not let me upload my file as named because Jblakeney had already uploaded his with the same name, so i renamed the file as g2pro - Plex Media Server.log
The second log g2pro2 shows a movie “Miles Ahead” that plays just fine.

I reported to the devs your logs so they can get a look at them and try to find the issue and a solution as soon as possible. Thanks for your help.

Long over due but here are my logs, as you can see the update royally screwed everything up. I just tried playing 8 different movies of all different formats and none would play. In the app it says they are not supported and when played they say not found make sure drive is mounted but there are 110% there.

To add, i have uninstalled the server, deleted it from my account then reinstalled. Still the same problem. Then i tried to delete the library’s and start over and PMS won’t let me delete them, comes up with an error.

I’ve had flex for YEARS but and pay for flex pass. I am about to go XBMC if this can’t get resolved. very frustrating i’m sorry

Do a google search. I could get version 0.9.16.4
