I’d love to buy a lifetime license, if it was something around 40 euros.
I only want the features I’ll actually use, such as the “skip intro” feature, the offline downloads, the trailers and the phone apps.
I don’t think those features are worth 120 euros, neither 5 euros per month.
I’d love to support Plex, because I think what they achieved is awesome, but I don’t need and I don’t want the Podcast/DVR/News/Webshows stuff. (I think that’s what making the Pass so expansive)
I’ve talked about Jellyfin in previous topics, but while I wait for it to become better than Plex, I’d like to contribute a bit.
EDIT : I also don’t need/want/care about the music stuff, the photos stuff, the parental controls and the PP perks !
How much under $4.99 a month would you consider fair?
They’ve been replacing the lone transmitter on a 50 year old PBS tower - for the last 6 months - I haven’t really considered cancelling my PPass and TV as I know it - is a black expanse of void…
If I cancelled my PPass I’d never see the lights come back on… I’d hate to miss that - if it ever happens:

I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription.
Just look at Image Line ! They only have a lifetime offer for FL Studio and they’re doing fine !
(even tho they’ve been updating it for over 20 years !)
Well, that’s crazy.
What would you stop paying in a rage in order to teach Plex a lesson when they do something naughty?
Yea… pay that lifetime and you got no leverage… Plex runs around willy-nilly doing whatever they want… Yea… think about that…
