Hello,

I have a HD Homerun PRIME with Xfinity CableCard I’m trying to get sorted. I have had the same tuner, cablecard and server setup for years. I recently added a couple of paid sports channels to my cable lineup and wanted to enable them in my tuner to watch and record events. When I added the 2 channels I got the message that it was unable to save the channel mappings. Tried a few rescans, checked that all the channels were mapped 1:1 properly, and couldn’t get it to save no matter what I tried.

After reading a few similar articles on the forums I deleted my tuner entirely to give it a fresh start. Now I cannot get it to add back in at all because even on a fresh setup it still won’t save the channel lineup even as I had it set before I touched any of this.

How can I get my tuner that has been working all along back into Plex?

Any assistance or suggestions would be appreciated!

How are you with the command-line in general, and SQL specifically?

Thanks for reaching out!
I have no problem with command line and not afraid of the database, but I’m no DBA either.

I have managed a workaround. After reading a bunch of posts and articles online, it seems that this save issue will crop up if you have too many channels in the lineup. reverting to an earlier version of Plex can make it so the save bug is not there and you can get your guide in and then upgrade back to current but I was saving that as a last resort.

I found that when setting up the tuner, if I went through and deselected a bunch of the available channels, it got to a point where it could actually save the channel list and pull down the Guide data. Not an elegant solution but it is working at least.

What did you have in mind for a suggestion? Maybe something that could get the whole lineup in, or perhaps document another fix to maybe help someone else in the future that runs into this?
