There was an unexpected error loading this library for web, but fine for apps

Server Version#: 1.18.1.1973
Player Version#: 4.10.1 (web)

I’m getting this error
There was an unexpected error loading this library
when I connect to plex web and browse to a certain library via chrome, firefox, and edge.

other libraries work fine.

also, other clients work fine, like iOS and Windows Store. Only the browser one is weird so that suggests it’s not database corruption.

Ideas? I don’t really want to delete the library and start over because my watched statuses would be gone.

Is it a library with a lot of items in it?

If so, and the host isn’t very fast, the web client can time out waiting for PMS to generate the full web page.

Not the most elegant but that’s often the case. Hit F5 and it should reload properly.
If that fails… Force with CTRL-F5

It is a large library, but this shows the message immediately, so it’s not a timeout issue. Also, the appliance isn’t being hit right now, it’s low utilization so I don’t think this is the issue. F5 and Ctrl-F5 don’t solve it. Switching browsers, going to privacy/incognito mode, etc doesn’t resolve it.

yes, same issue.

Where can I send logs? I don’t want to post them publicly.

I don’t know what you mean. The ‘Titans (2018)’ folder is in the ‘TV’ folder and nothing else is there. In fact, the Titans folder is empty.

bash-4.3# pwd
/volume1/Plex/Library/TV/Titans (2018)
bash-4.3# ls
bash-4.3#

Please do NOT place media in the Plex share

I have expressly placed warnings not to in 6 languages.

/volume1/Plex/Library/TV/Titans (2018)

is not supportable.

Kindly create a TV or Movies share, as appropriate, and place your media there.

The Library directory is for Plex internal use only.
It has been made visible to ease access via the GUI. (Control Panel - Shared Folders - Plex - Permissions tab) for obtaining Logs when PMS won’t start or adding Plug-ins.

ok, so I spent a few hours creating a separate share and moving everything over, updating the Library to reflect the new location etc.

Same issue.

Also note that I did the most recent update and it worked, it just suddenly stopped working.

I was using the search function to delete a number of watched episodes and hitting apply got me this error and I can’t escape it.

Here is the URL
