These are my long time constructive issues/complaints about Live TV DVR

There are a few things that make me all but run up and punch my Plex server sometimes as it relates to Live TV and DVR.

First here is my build:
Latest version of Plex
Windows 10
Hauppauge Quad Tuner
Intel CPU
16GB RAM

My nagging issues.

  1. Often times using the web or windows client I cannot view a program as it will only give me the option to record, sometimes this will work on one client but not another so it is VERY flaky.

  2. I can normally initiate watching a program for the first time without issue but if I leave that program and wish to go back to it I get an array of errors claiming playback cannot be started. Rebooting my server usually fixes this.

  3. If I am watching something of some length (like a football game) very often during that session playback with crash/fail and then I am stuck with issue number 2. Again rebooting Plex seems to fix this.

I am hoping listing this helps these issues get solved. Thank you.

sorry about (2) and (3) but re: (1) be aware that not all plex clients support scheduling recordings and/or watching live tv. I am saying that because you did not mention what clients you use to watch stuff from Plex.
