TheTVDB Agent not auto matching shows released in 2020

Server Version#: 1.18.6.2368

Is there a known issue where TheTVDB Plex Agent won’t auto match new TV Shows released in 2020?

When I select match, the agent finds a result without any input from me.

So why isn’t it finding it automatically?

I don’t have this issue with shows released in previous years.

If it’s not a known issue, please advise which log I need to provide.

Thanks

How high is the number beside the match?
(it indicates the probability of the match)

Nearly always 100.

Just in the past few days it’s occured with Washington, The Pale Horse and Slow Burn.

All new shows in 2020 with match of 100

I’m having this problem with Lego Masters US as well. It always matches with Lego Masters UK, even when I name it exactly as requested, including year. When I fix match, it shows Lego Masters US at 100 but it doesn’t match unless I choose it manually.

I figured it was just a quirk of that one show, and that I’d get around to making post about it later. But this is very similar to what I’m seeing.

[Edit: To be clear I’m seeing this on PMS for Windows]

Here is an example that occured today:

And after match (didn’t edit the search criteria)

Which PMS version please?

Server Version#: 1.18.6.2368

Thanks. I’m checking now. I am not able to match it in any version so far.

Thanks.

Do you mean your not able to match that particular show?

Or you’re not able to replicate the issue?

That particular show- and all the other 2020 TV Shows don’t auto-match when Library scanning, but a 100 result appears when manually selecting “Match”

I’m sorry. I am not able to match “Making a Monster” at all. PMS does not see it.

I am working with a metadata team guy now. Making A Monster is returning “not found” errors. He is reaching out to them

Have you other examples?

Thanks @ChuckPa.

Other examples are Washington, The Pale Horse and Slow Burn.

Not finding either. This might be an upstream.

Found my problem. PEBKAC. In rebuilding my system , my QA TV library did not mount. The NAS (where PMS is) was not getting my test files.

Now I get them. The upstream errors (no poster / data) have been reported.

As users, you too can report missing info to TheTVDB.

please be kind to them as they’re grossly overworked and understaffed.

Thanks. As far as I can tell, these shows are on TheTVDB.

Sorry, just to confirm - is there an issue with auto matching TV Shows that’s now being looked into?

@ChuckPa can you please confirm if this was infact an issue and reported to the dev team for investigation?

I’m still experiencing the issue with TV Shows from 2020 not auto matching.

Thanks

For what it’s worth - I just got instant, natural matches when testing the shows named in this thread with pristine names and structures like:

A TV Show Library/
.....Making a Monster/
.......Season 01/
...........Making a Monster - S01E01.mp4
A TV Show Library\
.......The Pale Horse\
...........Season 01\
...............The Pale Horse - S01E01 - Episode 1.mkv

…and so on…

If MP4 files are in use - I would suggest demoting Local Media Assets.
That might help.

When you say “Natural Matches”, do you mean you pressed the “Match” option and the show appeared with a 100 match?

Or did you add the show to your library, Plex detected it in a Library Scan, and it automatically matched the content without you touching a thing?

No, I mean with those names the shows matched without any intervention.

Precisely. The Goal of every Plex Veteran.

If I don’t have to touch it - Fix Match is the last thing I worry about.
