thetvdb API Down?

Can’t scrape metadata for TV shows since sometime late yesterday UTC-4. Looks like the https://tvdb2.plex.tv/ is having issues (which is what the plugin uses.

503 Service Unavailable
No server is available to handle this request.
This is from a kodi post. Not sure if it fixes it or not, but wanted to point it out in case something needed to change on the plex side…

Same problem for me last night. It’s possible TheMovieDB would work, but I don’t want to change the agent and re-scan all my shows.

I’m a bit worried about what would happen if TheTVDB just can’t pay their hosting bills anymore.

Confirmed. I just refreshed the metadata on two shows added last night, and both were successful. Thanks for the notification.

dunno whether it’s the same problem, but hamatv has stopped adding covers for anime. It uses tvdb for this. I’m also unable to ping tvdb.plex.tv from CMD on windows. currently in australia. unsure if this is a region only thing or something wrong with my build

I was able to get episode information the other day, but no images. Today, I can’t connect at all. I believe their either having some problems or updated something.

Seems to be hit and miss some shows are getting metadata and some are not. I tried fixing match to force the data for one show to update and it lost all the data for all episodes. For that one show I I changed the agent to the MovieDB and it then brought down all the metadata.

turns out the whole TVDB was down. should be fixed now

It’s an API issue since they changed it. It’s still not working. At least not for me

Mines back up and running, but had to remove and re-add the media that didn’t scan properly
