This application is at and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognize this server and wish to grant access

Server Version#: Unraid 6.9.1
Player Version#:

I started to experience this issue after I updated from Unraid 6.9.0 to 6.9.1. Prior to the update I did not have any issues. I could not figure out the problem. After over a week of trouble shooting. The Unraid community support members believe its probable a plex issue seeing as I have never lost access to the server, but just my ability connect to plex. I could not spend anymore time trying to trouble shoot. So I just did a fresh install of Unraid and started from scratch again. After I installed plex again today I still have the the same problem. I have also tried the Manually specify public port and I still lose connection. Any help would be greatly appriceated.

The message you are seeing is a normal message when you use IP:32400/web rather than app.plex.tv. it is a warning for folks who can be duped into entering credentials into a site hosted by someone else. If the IP shows is yours then it is hosted by you.

What does “connect to plex” mean. You are trying to set up remote access?

No, When I try to access my plex account from my Unraid server I get a Notification saying “This application is at ###### and is not hosted by Plex. Continue only if you recognize this server and wish to grant access”. I then proceed to login in to my plex account but plex is unable to access my server over the internet via remote access.

are you using app.plex.tv or ip:port/web

My WebUI: is using http://[IP]:[PORT:32400]/web

looking at your account you have no server. Is it not signed in or are you trying to set it up remotely?

Yes, I am trying to set up remote access so I can have access to my media when I travel. I have Plex-Media-server docker container installed on my Unraid server. I had it working 4 weeks ago just fine. Now for some reason it will not connect anymore.

Is your docker set up to use the host network? I am not a docker expert ( trying to find someone who knows more than me) but if i recall that needs to use host network to complete the set up

My Network type is host.

I might have just fixed the problem. Could you please check to see if you can see my server now?

i do not.

I am in my plex account settings now under remote access and my private to public arrows are green at the moment.

That’s a good sign right?

yes that is a good sign. Is the server claimed with a different account than what you are using on this forum?

No. But, I believe that was the problem. My original claim key was removed. I just replaced it. Now it looks like plex is connecting to my server again.

ok good. I was looking at the wrong account by mistake that had a similar username is why i did not see it

Thank GOD! This has been kill me! Thank you for your help.
