This is a stupid Question (I think!)

Sorry for asking this, but before I buy I just want to be 100%!

 

 

I currently have an Apple TV 2nd Generation which I am using PlexConnect with. I take it when I watch one of my 1080 files its actually playing in 720?

 

If so, if I buy a new 3rd generation Apple TV and run PlexConnect I take it that the same files will then play in full 1080?

Well a jail broken ATV can play some 1080P files but it will only ever output 720P.
The ATV plays and outputs 1080P.
Why don’t you get one and if you are happy flog your ATV2 on eBay, they are going for about double or more the price of a new ATV3.

My Apple TV2 is j/b and I use it for other things aswell so wouldn’t want to sell it.


Think I’ll just purchase the ATV3 to connect to my projector for 1080 home cinema experience :slight_smile:
