Hello all,
I just installed Plex on my NAS DS220+
I added the files and folders as per the procedures in this forum. Permissions were granted, I tried both read only and write and read. I tried naming and even named one file “1” to try. I did not use the default NAS folder as I read to make a new shared folder from scratch. I thave been trying to solve this for three hours now and still can’t find a solution.
Please help me.

May I add that when I add a folder I can see the files in the adding menu grayed but then the library is empty
Regarding the first issue, is it possible that it is because it’s connected to wifi extender ? I’m connecting it to Huawie Q2 pro via eathernet. Is it a must to connect it directly to the main modem ?

Update: I had already done all the steps before writing the thread, the only new thing is
Open Control Panel > Shared Folder and edit the Plex folder. On the permission tab, user plex should have custom or R/W permissions, then click on OK.
I also redid all other steps
I can now see the files in my plex 
I still need to figure the first problem as the way I can see it, remote access doesn’t work because of it. It is very hard for me to move the server to the main modem so I’ll try what you suggested.
